Thought I was doing well on this first day of the new year. No hangover, and waking up feeling fairly refreshed. Decided to go for a run on the LGCT, possibly even go the full 10K distance.<br />n<br />nI was feeling pretty good on the return leg of the route, mind just wandering aimlessly, not necessarily concentrating on anything specific, when suddenly I found myself heading toward the ground. Seems my left foot landed wrong, twisting my ankle and leaving a moderate sprain.<br />n<br />nLater in the day, it swelled up nicely. I’ll be limping for a couple days, then off the trail for probably two weeks or more. These sprains take a bit of time to heal fully.
