Four Month Appointment

This afternoon we took Harold to the doctor for his four month check up, at which the plan is to give him some shots.<br />n<br />nThey measured him and, as expected, he came out near the top of the list with respect to height and weight. For height, he measured 26.5 inches (67.3 cm), which is in the 90th percentile. In weight, this big boy registered 17 lbs, 10 oz (7.99 kg), in the 95th percentile.<br />n<br />nWe have one big kid. Who is healthy and developing normally.<br />n<br />nHe also got a couple of shots in his chubby thigh. He certainly felt the needles go in, and as expected, he screamed enough to make his whole head go red. But once it was all finished, with the round kiddie band aids in place, he only cried for another 5 or 10 minutes. Hanging on to mama really helps one’s nerves to calm down.<br />n<br />nNext appointment is at 6 months, with another round of shots, I’m sure.
