California Dictionary Project

This morning I participated in my third annual <a href=”http://www.californiadictionaryproject.org/” title=”california dictionary project”>California Dictionary Project</a> event.<br />n<br />nA co-worker and I arrived at the school just after school started for the day. Principal was enthusiastic as she walked us to the classroom of third graders.<br />n<br />nWe introduced ourselves, what we are doing, and passed out the books. Played some games, such as find a word that starts with the same two letters of your first name. Then wrapped up and left the class full of kids each with a new dictionary.<br />n<br />nThis is a really cool project and it’s always great to visit the classrooms and see the youthful enthusiasm of the 8 year old students. Just wish it happened more than only once a year.
