It made perfect sense to her

Well, tonight we had pizza for dinner and it cooked a little bit too long. The crust was a bit hard and chewy.<br />n<br />nSo… here’s the back story…<br />n<br />nWe took Penny to the dentist a couple of weeks ago. She has 7 wiggly teeth all at the same time. The Dentist wants to be sure those teeth don’t fall out before she’s 7 years old. She’s 5 now.. Not sure how we are going to do that. It seems she has a very small jaw and needs a few more years for it to grow bigger before those permanent teeth come in. In all cases, she’s going to have braces.<br />n<br />nSo… Dentist told her she needs to stop eating things like corn on the cob, chewy candy, apples, etc… you get the idea.<br />n<br />nnow… about tonight’s dinner.<br />n<br />nShe was having a lot of trouble eating the chewy pizza. She came over to me very concerned. She said ” mama, Dr. Dentist is not going to like this at all. The pizza is going to make my teeth fall out, I really should just eat ice cream”<br />n<br />nI don’t even think she was trying to be clever… I really believe she’s afraid to loose her teeth before he says she can.
