Mothers Day

Mothers Day yesterday was absolutely gorgeous, weather wise. Instead of wasting time at some restaurant buffet waiting for a table and paying thirty or more dollars a head to serve ourselves, we decided to host everyone at our place instead.<br />n<br />nMJ, my sister and her crew, and Penny and Harold’s mama were all here. There was freshly baked quiche, watermelon, local strawberries, french toast and ham spread buffet style on our counter. A big bottle of champagne and lots of orange juice rounded out the selection.<br />n<br />nWe hung around for a while just catching up, and finally sister and crew took off, leaving MJ to hang out at out place for the afternoon. For dinner, she treated us to El Burro at the Pruneyard.<br />n<br />nSince we had to skip my birthday dinner recently due to sister getting a cold, we also caught up there too. We have a cake and I got a Frys gift card and several varieties of coffee, from both Starbucks and Peets. Nice day!
