Bike to Work, 2009, Day 7

Up to seven days in my BTW effort! It was a good morning to ride. The marine layer came in overnight, cooling everything down nicely, just a slight breeze and no glaring sun to blind us.
n
nThere is a back to school community giving event at work where we will provide a backpack and school supplies to a second grade girl. We purchased all the goods over the weekend, including a new backpack, and I strapped it to my bike rack and took it all back to work on the bike. I’m sure I looked overloaded this morning, but it didn’t add much weight. When riding, I did not even notice anything different.
n
nNeed to stop by the bike shop on the way home, look for a bell and some head and tail lights.
n
nUPDATE: I stopped by <a href=”http://www.hylandbikes.com/” title=”hyland family bicycles”>Hyland Family Bicycles on the way home. It was a bit of a detour, but not insufferable. Just a bit more dangerous as I had to ride about a mile on Meridian Avenue, with is sans bike lanes. Got me the <a href=”http://www.mirrycle.com/bellini.php” title=”incredible bellini”>Incredibell Bellini, which is really small and still seems to put out an good audible signal. But, forgot to look at lights. Oh well, no hurry.
