UPDATE: I took all the trailer’s times and wheels in to a tire shop this morning and had them remove the tires from the rims so I can clean up and paint the rims. They’re in dirty, surface rusty, kinda ugly shape. The balloon part of that ruined tire is on the inside, too. I didn’t snap a pic, but it seemed like there is an internal bladder in the skin of that tire which is holding air of its own. Tire guys were in awe of that bulge too!
n==========
n
nOne of the tires on our trailer ballooned up really bad. It looks perhaps what an aneurysm looks like.
n
nIt happened after I spent all day working on fixing an electical short. After I tried moving the trailer with the tow vehicle, it felt like there was a tire chock on it. I kept looking for it, couldn’t find it, kept rolling slowly, and this thing finally showed itself. It was on the inside of the tire, so it was not easy to see.
n
nWow.
n
n<a href=”http://www.flickr.com/photos/jaworskihouse/5685055868/” title=”Tire Aneurysm by jaworskihouse, on Flickr”><img src=”http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5221/5685055868_e6fb490561_m.jpg” width=”240″ height=”180″ alt=”Tire Aneurysm”>
n
n(Click to see a bigger version in all its glory!)
