I've known about Mt Madonna County Park for years. Always thought it would be a cool place to check out. But it being down at the very bottom of the county, it wasn't easy to keep in mind, or get to.
Early today, we decided to get away from the stores, take a break from all the holiday stuff. So we drove out there. It was not as abandoned as I thought it would be, given it was the day after Christmas. But there were few campers, and none in the yurts, which is what we wanted to check out.
They have White Fallow Deer.
We made a resolution to camp at this park some time next year. It was simply beautiful, another prime example of how many great getaways we have so close to home.
