A story from my Summer Bridge Activity Book. 4th - 5th Grade.
I dictated this story to my mom.
A story about my family-
I live with my mom and dad and brother Harold.
My mom is always working but she always has time to play. My dad is the funniest member of the family. Every night he goes upstairs to read with my brother while I read with my mom. Then I go upstairs to play their reindeer games with them.
My brother loves watching TV and playing on the computer. his favorite color is blue and silver and sometimes he draws in my bridge activities. But I love him all the same. I love playing on the computer too just like Harold.
I play 3 instruments, piano flute & fiddle. I love playing outside and having sleep over's with my friends.
Is that just the coolest picture or what? I tell Penny that I want to see more and more of this kind of behavior as it will benefit her for years and years to come, the rest of her life, in fact.
In this photo, you see Penny at the King Library in San Jose, in the kids area, doing research on her fourth grade report on California missions. She was lucky enough to get Mission San Jose in Fremont, California, on which to base her report. The next day we visited the mission first hand, which really helped her gather research information for her report.
The project is due in mid-February, so we are getting her to spend much of her weekends to work on it. Once it's complete, graded and returned, we may post it here!
Penny, I'm lovin' this (non-posed) picture of you!
